Pecan Icebox Cookies

Pecan Icebox Cookies : Why are they called icebox cookies? Out of this movement arrived the icebox cookie. Named after the refrigerator’s predecessor (the icebox), these were cookies you could keep refrigerated, then bake at a moment’s notice—essentially a 1930s version of a Pillsbury slice-and-bake cookie. Ingredients
* 1 cup unsalted butter softened (226g)
* 1 ½ cups granulated sugar (300g)
* 1 large egg room temperature preferred.
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
* 2 ½ cups all purpose flour (315g)
* 1 teaspoon baking powder.
* Optional add-ins sprinkles, non pareils, chopped nuts, chopped chocolate.
